• To apply online for Grade B posts under Reserve Bank of India, one must possess a bachelor’s degree from a UGC recognized institute.

RBI Grade B 2025 Selection Process

The selection process for Grade B post under Reserve Bank of India consists of three stages, which are preliminary, mains and interview.

1 – Prelims

• Exam Mode: Online
• Exam Duration: 2 Hours
• Subject:
  • logic
  • general awareness
  • english language
  • Quantitative Aptitude

2 – Mains

General (DR) Posts

• Paper 1 – Economic and Social Issues:
  • 50% objective test – 30 objective questions
  • 50% Descriptive Test – 6 descriptive questions, 4 have to be answered
  • Total Marks: 100 (50 for each section)
  • Duration of Exam: 90 minutes for objective, 90 minutes for descriptive
• Paper 2 – English (Writing Skills):
  • descriptive test
  • Total Marks: 100
  • Exam Duration: 90 minutes
• Paper 3 – Finance and Management:
  • 50% objective test -30 objective questions
  • 50% Descriptive Test – 6 descriptive questions, 4 have to be answered
  • Total Marks: 100 (50 for each section)
  • Exam Duration: 120 minutes

3 – Interview

• The interview will be of 75 marks.
• Psychometric test conducted before interview, no marks allotted, not part of final selection criteria.
• In the last stage of the selection process there will be an option whether one wants to take the exam in Hindi or English.
